What is intraday trading and how it works?

Intraday trading or day trading means buying and selling of stocks on the same trading day. Stock prices keep fluctuating throughout the day due to buyers and sellers activities and intraday traders try to get profits from these price movements by buying and selling stocks during the same trading day. Intraday trade may last from a fraction of second to whole trading day. But traders have to close their position before trading closes on stock exchanges on that day.
